23.05.2014. Meeting with Nobel Prize-winners – the participants of the VII Astana Economic Forum and the II World Anti-crisis conference. Nursultan Nazarbayev thanked his interlocutors for their contribution to the work of VII Astana Economic Forum and emphasized that the formation of Astana club of Nobel Prize-winners gave a special importance to that event. In turn, Nobel Prize-winners noted the great contribution of Kazakhstan to the development of science and innovation, and also emphasized that the VII Astana Economic Forum was a global platform for the discussion of global socio-economic problems.

19.05.2014. Meeting with the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping. During the meetings the heads of the states discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in trade-economic, financial-investment, transit-transport and agricultural sectors. Also, during the visit  Nursultan Nazarbayev was awarded the Prize of peace “Silk way” for the promotion of the spirit of “Silk way”, strengthen of mutual trust, friendship, cooperation, promoting prosperity, peace and common development with other countries of the world and peaceful organizations.

29.05.2014.  (Astana, Palace of Independence) Participation in the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in the extended format. Presidents of the Republic of Armenia - Serzh Sargsyan and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan - Almazbek Atambayev, as well as Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Viktor Hristenko were participated at the meeting together with the heads of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus. During the meeting were discussed the key provisions of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as discussed the implementation of the Action plan on the accession of the Republic of Armenia to the Customs Union and the Common economic space. The heads of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus noted the progress in the preparation of the agreement, and emphasized the active participation of the business circles in its development. The leaders of three countries welcomed the process of reconciliation of the document, calling it the result of a high level of existing relations between states.

20.05.2014. Meeting with the chairman of the board of directors of the corporation “Huawei” Sunya Fan.. During the meeting were discussed the key aspects of the current activities of the corporation in Kazakhstan, and also the prospects for the implementation of joint projects in the sphere of high technologies. The head of the state noted the dynamically growing level of the telecommunications sector in our country and emphasized the high interest of Kazakhstan in cooperation with the corporation.
