The exhibition of the teachers’ works of Children Art School – club UNESCO of Astana city, dedicated to the Day of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
      One of the important directions of the activity of the Museum is support and popularization of the children creativity. From the first days in the Museum there works children fine art studio organized with the support and participation of Children Art school of Astana. It is a tradition to hold the exhibitions of the works of children of fine art studio and art school.
      On the base of Children art school there take place seminars and master classes for art teachers, Olympics of the fine arts among pupils of city schools.
      In 2008 the National commission on UNESCO affairs in RК appropriated the status of UNESCO Club to Children art school. In 2008 CAS was recognized as the best organization of the additional education of our capital by the results of the city competition among educational institutions. The basic value of Children art school is a pedagogical body which has a purpose – a development of the creative person.
      At the exhibition were presented the works of the teachers, the members of the Union of artists of Kazakhstan and Russian Federation: Chunchalinov A. K., Mussalimov A. Zh., Kanibekova A. A., Kudajbergenova T. K., Bespalinov А., Kyzyrova A. A., Utepova A. Sh., Sejkenova A. H., A.V. Smirnov. Many talented children grow, develop and find the way in their life thanks teachers’ professionalism. All works differ on the technician of the execution: painting, drawing, batic, decorative applied art.

Exhibition “Peninsula of thousand roads” from museum funds of Mangystau region
      The exhibition was organized within the framework of “Kazakhstan directed to the future” interregional exhibition project which has been realized by the Museum since 2008.
      Mangystau is a world of ancient civilization, archeological reserve, museum under the open sky, where 11 thousand historical monuments are taken into custody of the state, a world of thousands of rock poems – pictures; place of unique religious buildings and mosques: Beket-Ata, Shakpak-Ata, Shopan-Ata, Masat-Ata, where come millions of pilgrims not just from Kazakhstan, but also from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Russia and Caucasus, Iran and Turkey.
      The exposition was placed in two halls. The collection narrating the history of Aral-Caspian region was placed in the Large Banquet hall. The original culture of nomads of Caspian Sea is manifested mostly in jewellery, memorial-religious architecture of Later Middle Ages and new time (scientists count there more than 50 thousand monuments).The originals of unique jewellery of Mangystau region are shown for the first time. Rich world of symbols of nomads are translated in the works of masters.
      The melody sings and kuis of Mangystau always differed with its originality and brilliance. Famous composers, akyn-zhyraus and many other geniuses of national spirit as Asan Kaigy, Kashagan, Kalniyaz, Konur Zhusip, Murun Sengirbekuly, Sattygul Zhangabyluly, Tumen Baltabasuly had left after themselves a rich heritage.
      There was the exposition narrating the dynamical development of the region nowadays mainly by extraction of strategically important resources as oil and gas in the Small Banquet hall.

The exhibition «Dedication to Chopin» was held within the limits of the celebration of Frederic Chopin’s 200th Birth Anniversary
      It was organized together with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Kazakhstan. The international project of the Museum «Dialogue through culture» finished its autumn cycle with the graceful musical note.
      Frederic Chopin – is a Polish composer and virtuoso pianist. All of Chopin's works involve the piano. They are technically demanding but emphasize nuance and expressive depth. Chopin invented the musical form known as the instrumental ballade and made major innovations to the piano sonata, mazurka, waltz, nocturne, polonaise, étude, impromptu and prélude.
      In 2010 in different corners of the planet have passed the most different events which have shown to the whole world Eternity in art, a place of the great composer and the musician in the world cultural heritage. He plays pure, contemporary notes; his music has overcome barriers between the past and the present, classics and contemporaneity.
      Within one evening in the Museum were held three important events: ceremony of canceling a postage stamp dedicated to Frederic Chopin’s 200th Birth Anniversary, presentation of the exhibition «On Frederic Chopin’s path. Polish poster», and F.Chopin’s music performed by Nurlan Ismailov – a professor of the Kazakh National University of Arts.
      Joint-stock company "Каzpochta" in the series «Memorable, anniversaries dates and holidays» has presented the mark devoted to Frederic Chopin’s 200th Birth Anniversary. The size of mark – is 28 х 40 mm, face value – is 240 tenges, circulation makes 30 000 pieces, quantity of marks in sheet 10 pieces, punching edge, the press offset in four paints, artist D.Muhamedzhanov. Besides, there was prepared the special postage stamp.
      The guests of the evening became witnesses of procedure of canceling of the post block with one mark – a print of the postage stamp on the memorable envelopes in the special albums which have exchanged the representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland and joint-stock company "Каzpochta".
      At the exhibition were presented 10 posters «On Frederic Chopin’s path. Polish poster», organized by the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland in cooperation with the Poster Museum in Wilanow. It is possible to carry the Polish poster to gold fund of this genre of art creativity not only in Poland, but also in the world. Each of the posters contains a huge cultural layer about the music world, the world of creators. The earliest poster concerns the beginning of 1930th, the latest is created in 2008. All of them reflect the most important characteristics of that which had been called the Polish school of the poster. In the 20th of the XX-th century the futurists and the constructivists opened a type as means of art expression. This means was brought to perfection in the presented Polish posters.
      The culmination moment of the evening was F. Chopin’s music performed by the professor of the Kazakh National University of Arts N.Ismailov in the Large hall of the Museum.

The photo exhibition of German archeological institute was held within the framework of the events of “Germany in Kazakhstan” Year.
      The exhibition was organized jointly with the Embassy of Federative Republic of Germany to Kazakhstan. It was timed to coincide with autumnal cycle of “Dialogue through the culture” international project.
      On 50 high-quality photos was shown the work of German archeological institute which make research works and excavations in Kazakhstan, Tadzhikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan for many years in collaboration with archeologists of these countries.
      On the photos were presented not only artifacts which were found during excavations, but also laborious and interesting work of archeologists. The Museum added to the exhibition archeological artifacts from “Kyryk Oba II” burial ground found during Ural archeological expedition in 2005-2009 by “Cultural heritage” State program.

Personal exhibition of K.Zhapalova “Melodies of life”
      This exhibition – is one of the directions of the development of the project «Kazakhstan directed to the future», connected with the propagation and popularization of creativity of artists, sculptors and handicraftsmen from the different regions of the country. K.Zhapalova's some works had been presented in the exposition of the museum funds of Atyrau region in 2008, and both organizers and visitors had been interested in her works.
      Kamila Zhapalova is a member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member-correspondent of Academy of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, figure of culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Her creativity reflects modern lines in the fine arts of our republic. She graduated from Shymkent art school under the name of A. Kasteev, St.-Petersburg art school. The author creates unique products of the fine arts in the batik technique. She has numerous ranks and awards for her works.
      Many centuries the batik was not only an ornament or clothes, but also original letters, means of expression of thoughts. The batik’s native land considers island Java in Indonesia where are very popular the clothes from the fabrics painted manually. This way for reception on the drawing fabric was used from time immemorial in ancient Shumer, Peru, Japan, Sri Lanka, Indochina, African countries. The batik is not only an ancient craft and art, but also sacrament, magic which as consider, is capable to influence life and destinies of people.
      K.Zhapalova creates also in traditions of the batik. There is faultless and exact selection of colour. She uses the palette of paints of all colours of the rainbow, but pay attention to their certain tonality creating mood. Women – are gentle and strong simultaneously, she and he, birds with an exotic colouring, landscapes of the native land... A woman sees such world, she is a keeper of the center, the traditions, thereby she is connecting together the past, the present and the future.
      K.Zhapalova participated in various exhibition projects such as fair «National applied art», the World exhibition of artists (Paris), the republican exhibition «Dala men kala» (Almaty), VII republican exhibition «World of the batik» in the Museum of arts of A.Kasteev (Almaty), where her works were highly appreciated. She is the winner of the international award "Shabyt", the owner of the Certificate of honour of Kazakhstan-Turkish festival of applied art (Cyprus, 2008).

Festival of children’s creativity “Zhas sheber”
      The festival was devoted to Children’s Day and 20th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
      Within the limits of the festival was held ceremony awarding the winners of the drawings competition “Convention by children’s eyes” and competition of decorative-applied art “Doll”. More than 150 children from 12 regions of Kazakhstan, children of the employees of the Embassy of Russian Federation in Kazakhstan and Japanese cultural centre participated in the competition. The exposition of the best works is presented in the hall of the press-room on the 1st floor. “Balausa” folklore ensemble, “Aru” dance group (Children’s art school № 1) and “Nazerke” dance ensemble (secondary school № 61) showed their creativity to the quests and participants of the festival.
      Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in Kazakhstan Natsui Sigeo, representative of UNICEF Fikri Akhmed Singer, Secretary General of National committee on UNESCO and ISESCO affaires A.E.Utegenova and representatives of diplomatic corps of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and India were among the quests.

The exhibition «Images of Muslim world».
      It was organized together with the Fund of support and development of scientific and cultural programs named after Sh. Mardzhani (Russian Federation) within the limits of the international project «Dialogue through culture».
      The exhibition was opened on the eve of the Holy month Ramadan and was devoted to one of the brightest sides of Muslim art.
      There were presented printing shamails from Fund Mardzhani collection, executed on the basis of the Arabian calligraphy, and a collection of Koran editions from funds of the Museum of the First President of RК. Since April 2009 the collection of shamails was exhibited at the State museum of the East and the Columned hall of the Unions House (Moscow), at the National art gallery "Hazine" (Kazan).
      It is possible to call the shamails the Muslim encyclopedia. In these sheets are collected the images of Muslim world, which close and clear to believer people of the XIX-XX cc.
      In translation from Arabic language shamail means «qualities, advantages». In Persian the word shamaiel has additional meaning – «a sacred picture, a portrait, an icon». So were pointed the pictures which were extended in the Iranian art in the second half of the XIX century, representing a portrait of the fourth Caliph, one or with his sons. Unlike Persian, Tatar shamails do not contain the image of the person. Shamail comprises a vision and the sacral text, being simultaneously fine arts product, religious lecture and a literary monument. The inscriptions – are ayats of the Qur’an, hadithes of the Prophet, the citation from the axiomatic Arabian and Persian literature – adjoin to images of Muslim monuments and metaphysical realities.
      The Qur’ans from the funds of the Museum of the First President of RК (21 units of storage) are various in the external registration and polygraphic work. Among samples of the printing Qur’an – are editions from Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Tunis, Egypt, Pakistan, Jordan in Arabian, Kazakh, Russian, Urdu and English languages. A collection decoration is "Qur’an -Kerim" published in Mecca – it is in the wooden salary, finished with metal, with a list on the wood and author's work enclosed in the casket. There was the Qur’an which had been in space. It was gifted to the President by cosmonaut Talgat Mussabaev.

Exhibition «Nazarbayev and Kazakhstan» devoted to the 20 anniversary of the institute of the presidency in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
      It was organized together with the National Democratic Party «Nur Otan». For the first time the exposition represented unique collection of the photographic materials from the funds of the Museum which told about the biography of the First President of independent Kazakhstan. There were photos of the basic stages of the formation of the institute of the presidency, internal and foreign policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. They were shown in the Dome hall of the Museum where had been held many significant events in the history of our country.
      The capacious and evident maintenance of the photo-exhibition – is one of its main advantages. The exhibition opens a historical role of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A.Nazarbayev in building of the independent democratic state. There were about 300 photos from the funds of the Personal archive of the Head of the state and works of N.A.Nazarbayev which are translated to more than 30 languages of the world.
      In the thematic sections: «My earth – is my destiny»; «Under the Independence banner»; «Under one shanyrak»; «Kazakhstan directed to the future»; «Political philosopher of the world scale»; «Astana – is a heart of Eurasia»; «I will share my thoughts with the people …» it is possible to track the formation of the leader’s personality – a future president of the Independent Kazakhstan; finding of the state sovereignty and the first steps of young Republic; development of ideas of unity and the interconfessional consent of Kazakhstan people; successes and achievements of Kazakhstan in the field of economy; implementation of Eurasia ideas; development and prosperity of new capital; the joyful and inspired moments of meetings with the natives and fellow citizens.

The exhibition “The South Kazakhstan’s nice chronicle” from the funds of South Kazakhstan region.
      The exhibition was held at the interregional exhibition project «Kazakhstan directed to the future» which successfully realized from 2008. On the exhibition were displayed the masterpieces of the architectural and fine arts, important historical and archeological artifacts telling about the nice history of the region. The South Kazakhstan is situated on the crossing of the Great Silk ways, it is known by its historical monuments: barrows, mausoleums, castles, ruins of an ancient settlements and towns. The heritages of the known persons who were born in that land: Abū Naṣr al-Fārābī, Khoja Akhmet Yassawi and Korkyt ata.
      The exhibition consists of two parts: archeological and ethnographic. In the Large Banquet hall displayed the historical invaluable archeological artifacts from the funds of the Otyrar state archeological museum and the state historical and cultural museum of “Azret sultan” which was build in honor of the great scientist, poet and preacher of Islam religion Khoja Akhmet Yassawi. From the funds of regional local museum was exhibited the known “Otyrar treasure”.
      In the Small banquet hall presented the masterpieces of material culture and jewelries (XIX – XX cc.) and also the traditional women clothes. The visitors showed the great interest to the exhibition, they had the opportunity to get acquainted with the rich culture of the South Kazakhstan.


On May 14 – June 15, 2010


The exhibition “Uly tulgalar besigi” from the museum and library funds of Semei city of East Kazakhstan region.
      The exhibition opened spring cycle of international exhibition project “Kazakhstan directed to the future” which has been being realized already for three years. The main goal of the project is presentation to general public history, exhibits of material and spiritual culture of the regions of Kazakhstan.
          Semei is the pearl of East Kazakhstan, the birthplace of many outstanding persons of history like Abai Kunanbayev – the great poet and philosopher, which represents Kazakhstan as well as Pushkin represents Russia, Shakespeare – England or Goethe – Germany, Shakarim Kudaiberdiyev, Mukhtar Auezov, Amre Kashaubayev and many others. There lived in different times such famous persons – scientists, poets, writers, singers like Chokan Valikhanov, Feodor Dostoevsky, Akhmet Baitursynov, Sultanmakhmut Toraigyrov, Kuanysh Satpayev.
At the exhibition there were presented exhibits of the State reserve museum of Abai, photo materials, archive documents and museum values telling about the history of Semei city. All Kazakh land is the motherland of Abai. There were produced archive documents characterizing public activities of Abai Kunanbayev, paintings of A.Kasteyev, drawings of E.M.Sidorkin. For the first time within the limits of the project there was presented book treasury of the regional library named after Abai. There were books which read Abai, rare editions of XYIII- XIX centuries.

The exhibition “The spring of Victory”
      The exhibition was dedicated to the 65 anniversary of the Great Victory in the Great Patriotic war. There were exhibits and documents from the funds of the Museum of the First President of RK, the historical Museum of Astana city and the personal pieces of our veterans. At the exposition were presented the articles, the arms and armaments, the ammunitions, the war honours, the commemorative medals and souvenirs.

Personal exhibition of Marat Gabdrakhmanov “Strings of soul”
      Marat Gabdrakhmanov – is a known sculptor, the member of Kazakhstan Union of Artists. The author works in the genre of the small form sculptures, putting in them a great philosophy sense.
      Some of his works were already on October 2009 at the exhibition from the museum funds of Aktobe region within the limits of the interregional project “Kazakhstan directed to the future” among other artists and sculptors of this region. The Museum of the Fist President noted and supported visitors’ interest in the creativity of aktubinsk sculptor, because it is one of the goal of this project to show to the capital audience the different tendencies of art.
      Gabdrakhmanov Marat Rakhmetolaevich was born on August 26, 1970 in Aktobe. In 1990 he graduated from Nizhnetagilsk college of Applied Art, department of metal processing, and in 1999 – Zhubanov Fine Art ASU. In 1996 he became a member of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan and in the same year was a winner of the Presidential Award “Bolashak”.
      His sculptural composition "Wheel" was awarded the diploma of the third degree on the international festival of garden and park sculpture, which was held in Yekaterinburg on August 2006. In 1996-1998 M. Gabdrakhmanov worked on probation at «PRATT» New York Institute of Art USA, and in 1998 organized an exhibition of his works at the UN. Works of the sculptor stored not only in the museums of Aktobe, but also in the private collections of the citizens of USA, Germany, France and China.

The exhibition «In the world of freakish forms» from the funds of the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan
      The exhibition from the museum funds was devoted to spring holidays International woman’s day and Nauryz. There were 210 exhibits from 25 countries of the world, which had been given as gifts to the President of our country during the visits and forums.
      Among many interesting and unique exhibits were: porcelain vases made in different techniques by the masters of Turkey, Russia, Uzbekistan, Germany; wood vases made by the masters of Petrikovka village (Ukraine); celadon Korean vases with ornaments; collection of sets of dishes made from blue spar, green marble and marble; collection of decorative vases made from stone.
      Among decorative applied arts were beautiful vases made from Chinese porcelain, vases for flowers and sweets made from Czech cut-glass.
      One of the very interesting groups was Gzhel – it is a traditional Russian ceramics: tea sets, decorative kettles and vases.
      These exhibits give a chance to get acquainted with the culture of other nations.

“Askar Essenbayev. Academic exhibition. Sculpture. Drawing.”
      The works of academician of Academy of art of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Essenbayev occupies a special place in contemporary art of Kazakhstan. The graduator of Almaty college of art, Moscow State institute of art named after Surikov has opened for himself a new world in art of creation of sculpture and he was awarded with many titles.
      The painter came to the art of Kazakhstan in the middle of 1980 years. He has declared himself as an outstanding professional master at once. His complicated works as “Children”, “Summer in Pereslavl”, “Yudif”, “Cosmogony” immediately have got recognition among artists. Since that time creativity of the master determines a whole direction in culture of Kazakhstan. During all creative period he has created more than 150 sculptures, paintings and drawings, each of them is a unique phenomenon in art. There were made many exhibition projects in France (Paris, Limoges, Fontainebleau) called “Painting and sculpture of Kazakhstan”, in Germany (Munter)- “Art of Kazakhstan”, in the USA- “Myths of nomads”, “Sary-arka”, personal and thematic exhibitions of art-centre “Alma-Ata”.
      A. Essenbayev is a member of board of Union of the painters of RK, of the State commission for award with state premiums. He is awarded with medal “For valiant work”, independent premium of platinum “Tarlan”. In 2006 he has been given title of academician of Academy of art of RK.
      Nowadays the works of A. Essenbayev are in the most prestigious state and museum collections all over the world including State museum of art named after A.Kasteyev, State Tretyakov Gallery, private collections in Kazakhstan, USA, Russia, Italy, France and South Korea.
      The works produced at the exhibition are results of thorough comprehension of past and present, desire to realize relations and continuities between cultures and epochs of the painter which has celebrated recently his 50th anniversary.

The exhibition "Kalpana - Masterpieces of Figurative Indian Contemporary Paintings" was organised jointly with the Embassy of India in the Republic of Kazakhstan and Indian Cultural Centre. It opened a new season of the international exhibitional project «Dialogue through culture». It is already the third joint event.
      The Exhibition comprises of digital reproductions of contemporary masterpieces on canvas curated by Ms.Anjolie Ela Menon a world renowned Indian artist. The Exhibition consisted of 29 art pieces comprising works of the following 14 famous painters: Jamini Roy(1887-1972), Amrita Shergil (1913-1941), M.F.Husain (1915), K.G. Subramanyan (1924), F.N. Souza (1924-1999), Krishen Khanna (1925), Tyeb Mehta (1925), Bhupen Khakhar (1943-2003), A. Ramachandran (1935), Arpita Singh (1937), Jogen Chowdhury (1939), Anjolie Ela Menon (1940), Manjit Bawa (1941) and Arpana Caur (1954).
      This Exhibition is the beginning of the great international tour to the countries of Europe and Asia. It represents a further milestone in promoting, understanding and cooperation between India and Kazakhstan and strengthening people-to-people contact through the medium of dialogue of cultures between the two countries.
