On December 21, 2012 in the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place the opening of the exhibition of works, and ceremony of rewarding of the participants of the IX republican competition of the children drawing «Tugan zherim», devoted to the Day of Independence. The exhibition is organized within the limits of the Museum project “View from childhood”. This year the geography of the origin of children works totals about 15 cities of Kazakhstan, and age of participants from 6 to 16 years. The authors of the best drawings were awarded with diplomas and memorable gifts.
The organizers of the competition are Museum, Children art school – UNESCO club of Astana with the support of Astana Department of education and the Centre of the modern art “Kulanshi”. The competition «Tugan zherim» is organized for education of patriotism and civil liability, love to the homeland, increase of interest to history and culture of Kazakhstan, assistance to development and promoting of children art creativity. The works on the following thematic directions are presented to expositions: "Travel to past of Kazakhstan", "Legends and fairy tales of people of Kazakhstan", "Traditions and customs of the Kazakh people", "Astana – city of future ", "Kazakhstan in 20 years".

Solemn ceremony of delivery of awards to winners of annual Prize of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Leader of Nation to young Kazakhstan representatives in the sphere of culture and art took place in Almaty on December 11, 2012.
In the nomination «Museum work» employee group of the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the social project «Жан жылуын сыйлайық» was conferred by the title «Laureate of Prize of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Leader of Nation» with delivering of diploma and breastplate:
1. Khusayn Yergeldy Galymuly – main expert of the Centre of organizing of exhibitions and excursion service;
2. Ospanova Asiya Adilovna - senior teacher of the Centre of museum pedagogy;
3. Shotkina Assel Kanatovna - leading expert of the Centre of organizing of exhibitions and excursion service.

On the 8th of June, 2012 the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev visited the Museum of the First President of RK, where got acquainted with the exhibition «Boris Yeltsin and his time» and the constant expositions of the Museum.

On June 4, 2012 in the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place a competition-festival of children art “Colour mosaic”. It is held according to the traditional joint event of the Museum of the First President of Kazakhstan and the Children Art School within the limits of the Museum project "View from childhood".
The festival is timed for the International Children Protection Day which is not only one of the most joyful holidays for children, but also a reminder for adult that children need their constant care and protection and that adults are responsible for them.
In the competition took part about 70 children from 6 to 13 years. The participants of the festival could take part in one of three competitions: «Face art» - face tattoo with aqua-face-paint, drawing about Astana on the easel, drawing with the chalk on the asphalt. The active work of art studio of the Museum and a creative staff of the Children art school annually make a real holiday the meetings with the children creation. The works of young artists – the participants of the festival will be placed in the hall of the Museum.
In the awarding ceremony of the winners took part: the deputy director of the Museum K.K. Aktaeva, the director of Astana Children art school G.Zh. Issenova, and also the chairman of jury, academician of Arts Academy of RK, honored worker of culture of RK, Professor T.B. Batanov.
The guests and the participants of the competitions were admired by the performances of the creative staff of Astana music school No. 1. They were noted by the letter of thanks from the Museum of the First President of RK.

It is dedicated to the Day of unanimity of people of Kazakhstan
On the 3rd of May was held the competition-festival «The 1 of May – is the holiday of friendship» for the pupils of the children of art and decorative-applied art studio at the Museum of the First President of the RK. The teachers of the studio prepared the program and during that program the children remembered and got new knowledge about the customs and ceremonies of nations living in the republic.
The winners of the competition for the best national clothes and for the best drawings were awarded with the diplomas and gifts. At the end of the festival the children launched to the sky above the Museum the balloons with the paper pigeons. They had written the wishes on those pigeons.

On the eve of the Day of Independence, a remarkable event happened in the collective of the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. According to the Decree of Head of the state N.A Nazarbayev from 5.12.2012 the chief of the Centre of organizing of exhibitions and excursion service Shurumbayeva Nurzhamal Aldiyarovna was awarded with the state award – medal «Ерен еңбегі үшін» for the merits in state and social activity, significant contribution to socio-economic and cultural development of the country, consolidation of friendship and cooperation between nations.

On May 30, 2012 in the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place the ceremony of giving of the famous bike of Dmitry Ivanovich Petrukhin and other valuable artifacts to the funds of the Museum.
Dmitry Ivanovich Petrukhin – is the President of Geographical Society of Kazakhstan, the President of Association of bikers of Kazakhstan, the chevalier of «Dostyk» (2006), two times “Altyn Adam” award winner (2007, 2009), the deputy of maslikhat of the 4 and 5 convocation of Almaty city. D.I.Petrukhin is the organizer of the unique project – scientific-research expedition the Circumnavigator Regatta on the sailing yacht “Shokan Ualikhanov”. In September, 2007 in Aktau the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Leader of the Nation N.A. Nazarbayev followed the travelers with parting words and handed over them the flag of Kazakhstan.
From 2004 till 2008 D.I. Petrukhin traveled on his “iron horse” through 80 countries of the world with the state flag of Kazakhstan and overcame the way 200 000 kilometers – it is unprecedented event in the history of the moto-circumnavigator. That is why he set the Guinness World Records. From 2008 till 2011 he took part in auto-moto race through 40 countries of Asia and Middle East in the limits of the propaganda of the VII Asian winter games, which were held in Kazakhstan successfully.
Dmitry Ivanovich gifted to our Museum his famous bike and the flag of Olympic Council of Asia with the autographs of the ministers of sport, the map of trips, collection of the photos, souvenirs, all equipment of biker. In the future the visitors of the Museum will see them among other exhibits.
This event was held with the help of Saryarka district filial branch of NDP “Nur Otan” and the activists of “Zhas Otan”.
