of city competition of teachers’ creative skill
“The best museum lesson:
“Independence is a dream of ancestors and a reality for present generation!”,
devoted to the 20th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan
General regulations
Main goals of city competition of teachers’ creative skill «The best museum lesson: «Independence is a dream of ancestors and a reality for present generation!» (further – Competition) are:
1. Disclosing of the basic stages of formation of the sovereignty of our country: political and social reforms, integration of Kazakhstan into the world community, economic and cultural transformations, N.A.Nazarbayev's historical role in formation and development of the independent state – Republic of Kazakhstans (see Appendix No. 1).
2. Revealing and support of high technologies in the sphere of the museum pedagogics, assistance to the exchange of innovative experience in the sphere of the museum education and improvement of professional skill of museum-pedagogical workers.
3. The further development of traditional methods of training and search of the contemporary museum-pedagogical approaches and technologies in museum-educational practice.
4. Increase of the social status of the profession of the museum pedagogue, support of the talented museum pedagogues.
5. Assistance to the processes of the integration of education and culture, to the partnership in the sphere of the museum education.
6. Propagation of the museum collection, the archival materials, concerning life, state and public work of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Participants of the Competition should show:
1. Skills of methodical work in the sphere of museum pedagogics and ability to use them in the professional work.
2. Ability effectively to organize processes of development of museum values with the pupils and development of children’s interest to the museum to level of requirement in regular visiting of museums, inclusions in museum communications.
3. Ability to present introspection of employment to judges.
Requirements to competitive works
In competition can be presented:
• Educational courses / programs;
• Scenarios of lessons / out-of-class lessons / educational actions.
Appendixes of authors to the presented works should include
1. A museum material of the investigated theme.
2. A description of the interactive receptions and the methods of use of modern information technology of the training applied in presented competitive work.
3. A description of organization of pupils’ creative activity at the lesson /course/ program.
4. An analysis of efficiency of the lesson /course/ program according to requirements to the contemporary lesson.
5. Used literature.
The basic criteria of the estimation of lesson / course / museum-educational programs
1. An orientation of work maintenance, presented by a contestant to the formation at studying youth of valuable orientations.
2. Introduction to museum-pedagogical process of materials of expositions of MFP RК.
3. Professionalism of execution.
4. Conformity to the basic requirements to a contemporary lesson / course / museum – educational program (to specify a place and a role of a competitive lesson in the author's program).
5. Inclusion level in work with pupils of subject, museum and folk potential.
6. Use contemporary museum - pedagogical technologies.
7. Modern giving, originality, registration level.
8. Professionalism and pedagogical skill of carrying out of the lesson.
Competition conditions
For participation in the competition is necessary:
1. Till October 1, 2010 to make an application to the participation (see Appendix No. 2, No. 3);
2. Till November 1, 2010 to give a working out (see the basic thematic directions in the Appendix No. 2):
• one museum-educational lesson;
• or a program/course. If competitive lesson is a program part, it is necessary to present structure of the program with the explanatory note and the instructions of a place of the given lesson in program structure.
Competition consists of two stages
I stage – from November 1 till December 1, 2010
Selection: jury work, definition of the best workings out of museum-educational lessons/ courses/ programs.
II stage – from December 6 till December 10, 2010
Presentation of finalists: representation of competitive works by winners of the II stage.
Participants of the competition
To the participation in the competition are invited:
• teachers of preschool centers, educational institutions of secondary and high vocational education, institutions of additional education of children, teenage clubs, children's and youth public organizations; students of pedagogical faculties of high schools of capital.
• all who considers museum pedagogics as new technology of education and upbringing of rising generation on the basis of active use of the historical and cultural heritage of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Order of carrying out of examination and competition summarizing
• Examination of works is made on the nominations confirmed by jury.
• Organizing committee reserves the right to reject the materials which are not corresponding to the themes of Competition or to shown requirements.
• Presented materials aren't reviewed and don't come back.
Rewarding of participants of Competition
All participants will be handed over:
1.1. Certificate of participation in competition;
1.2. Compact disc (DVD) with text-through versions of materials of participants.
2. Winners of competition (owners of Grand prix, I, II, III places following the results of the II stage) will be awarded:
2.1. Diplomas and gifts;
2.2. The brochure with scenarios of competitive lessons / courses/ programs “The best museum lesson: “Independence is a dream of ancestors and a reality for present generation!”;
3. In addition:
3.1. The best workings out of museum-educational lessons / courses / programs will be published in annual «Collection of museum lessons of the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan»;
3.2. Materials about Competition results will be published in political and popular scientific magazine "Мiras" (proprietor SI «Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan»).

Appendix No. 2.
Order of registration of competitive works
It is necessary for the publication to present a scenario of lesson / course / program on paper and electronic type. A scenario of lesson / course / program should be assured the signature of a director and an educational institution press.
A text is made out in Word; font Times New Roman (for the text in Russian language) or KZ Times New Roman (for the text in Kazakh language); size 12; a line spacing – 1,0; fields: top – 2, bottom – 2, left – 3, right – 1,5.
• data on an author of lesson: initials and surname, post, place of work;
• theme of lesson / course / program (further – lesson);
• class;
• purpose of lesson;
• tasks of lesson;
• type of lesson;
• training methods;
• visual aids (use of museum subjects);
• equipment;
• plan of lesson;
• course of lesson;
• appendixes,
• used literature.
Notes:
1. Scenario is accompanied by inserts of slides and video films used during a lesson.

2. Texts of poems or songs used during a lesson, they are given in a scenario with obligatory instructions of an author and a title of a work.

We invite to take part everybody!
On August 24, 2010 on the eve of the Knowledge’s Day “For the first time to the first form!” holiday for the children with the limited abilities took place within “Way to school” the republican action. The event was prepared jointly with Public association “Centre SAD of Astana city.”

It is a good tradition to held children’s holidays for “particular” children in the Museum of the First President of Republic of Kazakhstan. The social directivity of such events shows the understanding and support of the society to the children with the limited abilities.
The organizers of the holiday have prepared informative and entertaining program. The gifts and prizes given to all participants have created real festive mood in the hall.

July,2 2010 was held the children’s holiday “Zhainai bersin, Astanam!” organized by the Museum, teachers and foster-children of «Balbobek» kindergarten №19 of Astana city.

|
The children’s holidays dedicated to the City day and conducted at the Museum’s educational program became a good tradition in the Museum. Here in the former Residence of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan little children could get acquainted with the history of their own city.
The children’s play was rise in applause by the audience: Education administration, pedagogic staff of the schools of Astana city, republican “Baldauren” educational and health center, parents. Children recited the poetry and sing the song dedicated to the City day.

The children’s play about searching for luck was welcomed by audience with smile. The showplaces of Astana city: the monuments of culture, architectural buildings, fountains and parks.
The unique choreographical composition showed by the foster-children of the kinder garden: Georgian dancers set the pace dynamically, then came the Kazakh batyrs with their event, the young circus artists showed the number “Cheerful cyclists” and performers of the flower dance “Gulder bii”.

During the holiday there were presented the unique fragments of video and photo materials fom the funds of the Museum, the children got acquainted the history of the architecture buildings of Astana city.
June, 30 2010 in the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held the children’s holiday “Happy birthday, Astana!” organized by the Museum and Astana “Kainar” Nursery № 30 with the participation of the representatives of the Education administration of Astana city, directors of infant schools of the capital and parents.

The foster-children presented to the guests the magic world of friendship. During the cognitive and entertainment program conducted the games and quizzes. The song “Astana” became the felicitation dedicated to the Astana day.
The choreographical element “Baiterek” showed by little dancers was of special interest. The children told about their city which paints in bright colors with its unique buildings, parks, architectural monuments. The participation of the children in such holidays are develop the feeling of participation in the historical events, which held in the capital, develop the feeling of love and proud to our country and city.

The young Astana’s citizens presented the panel made by their own hand to their own city, they pictured the main tourist attractions in Astana city with the bright colors made it more beautiful. The panel was presented to the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the 12th anniversary of Astana city.
For participants of the holiday were displayed the archive materials and showpieces from the funds of the Museum. The children saw the Ribbon of the “Honorable citizen of Astana city” which was awarded the President of the Republic, watched the fragment of the film about the history of building the monument “Baiterek” which became the symbol of the capital of Kazakhstan.

To the foster-children were presented the souvenirs
On May 17, 2010 was opening ceremony of the exhibition of children's drawings within the limits of the world competition on the theme of the gender equality organised by the European commission. During four years this competition invites children of all world to express the vision of gender equality.

The head of the European union Representation, Ambassador Norber Zhusten with his spouse, 50 families, including bringing up children with the limited possibilities, children-orphans, large families, and also third-graders – pupils of mathematic-economic lyceum № 1 and school-gymnasiums № 2, 4, 6 took part in the holiday.
The third time small Kazakh children participate in the competition. This year young artists presented more than hundred drawings from all regions of Kazakhstan. During the holiday was spent voting by show of hands. Ten best works of Kazakhstan artists were chosen as a result.

The head of the European union Representation, Ambassador Norber Zhusten in his salutatory word noted: «Four years the European commission has been spending worldwide competition of children's drawings on the theme of gender equality among children at the age from 8 till 10 years. This year the Kazakhstan schoolboys sent to the competition more than hundred drawings. Today upon termination of voting by show of hands ten best works will be sent to Brussels for participation in the ending of the world competition where the jury consisting of the European schoolboys, will choose on two drawings from each region of the world. The winners will be awarded the prize at a rate of 1 000 euros, and their drawings – will be included in the booklet intended for distribution at schools of 58 countries – participants of competition. Last year 9-year-old Kazakhstan schoolboy Temirlan Kargulov from Zhetygara city of Kostanai region became the winner. In the exposition presented in the Museum I see that Kazakhstan competitors have very great chances. Children perfectly understand a gender equality, and expressed it in the example of own families. This summer we invite ten best artists to Astana. I express gratitude to the director of the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alma Sagyngali, the director of the Centre of social adaptation of children Elena Kolmogorova and employees of EU».
The director of the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alma Sagyngali in her performance said: «One of the priority directions in the activity of our Museum is work with the children audience. There is Children graphic, arts and crafts studio in our museum where children have possibility to familiarise with the works of outstanding both domestic and foreign artists, to take part in traditional annual painting competition «Native land», to realise dream – to expose the works in art gallery of the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Our joint activity will serve to popularisation of art of talented Kazakhstan children».
There was shown informative-entertaining and concert program for participants of the holiday. Nobody remained without attention. Everybody had memorable gifts.
