On the 1st of June, 2009 in the limits of the celebration of the Children Protection Day was a contest of drawings on the pavement «Colour Mosaic» among children 6-10 years old and a solemn ceremony of the awarding of the festive event’s participants.
The organizers of the contest were the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Astana city Department of Education and Children Art School - Club UNESCO.
At the contest took part pupils of Astana schools and the Children art school. Young artists painted with the help of chalk wonderful images arisen in their fairy-tale fantasies, which seemed to revive and tune up their variety.
It was difficult for jury to make a choice from all varieties of work, but they were able to do it and chose the best 20 works.
The organizers prepared a concert program. The winners of many international competitions, educates of Kazakh National Music Academy ensemble «Serper» and «Baldyrgan» came to congratulate the children with the International Children Protection Day. The performance of a young owner of the title «Little miss «Inspiration»», winner of «Little miss Astana - 2005» Beisova Aida made a special festive note.

There were presented the original diplomas, awards and gifts for all participants of the contest. A sweet treat was especially joyful and festive for kids. It was prepared for them after the event.

On July 2, 2009 on the eve of the Capital day conducted the traditional children’s holiday «Guldene ber, Astana!». The foster children of the kinder garden № 37 “Arman” took part in the holiday. The Kinder garden was opened on July 1, 2006 by the participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The children could also see the unique architectural structure of the young capital. They are easy recognized the places of their interests. They interested in the film from the funds of the Museum from which they got to know about the monument of “Baiterek”. The idea of the construction of that monument belonged to the President of RK. The spectacular ending of the holiday became the flying of the toy balloons in the capital’s air.

On the eve of the new academic year on August 29, 2009 was held a lesson-holiday devoted to Day of the Constitution. It is an annual tradition of MFP RK. In this year the participants of the holiday were the first graders of G. Kairbekov secondary school-gymnasium № 2.

It is noteworthy that young citizens in a fascinating journey to the Knowledge country went out from the former President's residence. The children were able to learn about the role of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in the creation of the Basic Law of the country. There were presented archival documents and photographs from the collections of the Museum. There were unique projects of the Constitution with changes and supplements made by the hand of the President.

In the limits of the Republican campaign "Way to school” the organizers (Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, YC “Zhas Otan") prepared the gifts for the first grade schoolchildren.
