The lesson-meeting «Мемлекеттік рәміздер – ұлт мақтанышы» with one of the authors of the State emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, holder of the order «Құрмет», honored architect of Uzbekistan, professor – Zhandarbek Malibekov, on the eve of the Day of the state symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held on May 19, 2016 at the Museum of the First President.
The meeting dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan was organized for pupils of school-lyceum No. 64, Republican school «Jas Ulan» and the capital's teachers.

Zhandarbek Malibekovich Malibekov was born in 1942 in the village Ekpindi of Zhanakorgan area of Kyzylorda region. He graduated architecture faculty of the Tashkent polytechnic institute. Chief architect of the projects, the head of the town-planning workshop of the Uzbek scientific-research institute of industry. Member of the Republican Commission on state symbols. Since 2003 he has been working at the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov, professor.

New state symbols of independent Kazakhstan were first approved on June 4, 1992. In the republic the day of the state symbols celebrated in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on June 4, 2007.
Modern Emblem of independent Kazakhstan is the result of hard work, creative searches of two famous architects: Zhandarbek Malibekov and Shota Valikhanov. In the final contest attended 245 projects and 67 descriptions of the future Emblem. In the result their work was recognized as the best and was declared the winner of the contest.

The meeting was held in the dialogue format. Zhandarbek Malibekov shared with memories about history of creation the State emblem, talked about his life and labour activity. The information about deep sense of the elements of the State emblem, revealing the innermost traditions of the kazakh people caused great interest among the participants. The ceremonial introduction of the National Flag by bearers of «Jas Ulan» Republican school gave special solemnity to the event.
During the event, pupils of school-lyceum No. 64 – winners of the school contest «State symbols – the pride of the nation» Ramazan Jakan, Raulana Zhanserik, Aidana Rizabek read a poem of his own composition. Under composition «Қазағым» performed by pupil Aiym Ermuhambetova children danced flashmob for the guests.
On February 26, 2016 in the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the limits of the Day of Olympic sport, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the pupils of the Republican specialized school of Olympic reserve named after H. Munaitpasov, the pupils of «Astana SOS Children village » and the pupils of school-gymnasium No. 3 was held the meeting with Yury Melnichenko a champion of the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games.
Yury Melnichenko is the first and one Olympic champion among wrestlers of Greco-Roman style in the history of independent Kazakhstan as yet. He is the honoured master of sport of RK in the Greco-Roman wrestling, the honoured trainer of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the 7-fold champion of Kazakhstan, double champion of Asia, a champion of Asian games, a champion of the 26th Olympic Games in weight class till 57 kg, the world champion. His brilliant victory over Dennis Hall brought a gold Olympic medal in Greco-Roman wrestling, the first in the history of sovereign Kazakhstan. «He has a firm throw with speed of light» wrote American mass media. His victory is a bright page in the history of Kazakhstan sport.
Olympic champion told the pupils about his childhood, trainers and what kind of qualities he had inherited from them. He compared impressions about his victory at the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games. The participants got a lot of positive emotions and unforgettable impressions at the meeting. The pupils received the autograph of the champion and took photo with him.
