Opening of «Art Sapar I/Astana» exhibition and the series of master classes of the fine arts and sculpture
On March 16, 2017 in the building of the Museum of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Leader of the Nation took place opening of «Art Sapar I/Astana» exhibition and the series of master classes of the fine arts and sculpture which finished the first part of the movable exhibition project of young artists «Art Sapar of Kazak Eli».
The movable exhibition project «Art Sapar of Kazak Eli» was initiated by the group of young talented artists – the graduates of T. Zhurgenov Kazakh national academy of arts in 2013. Their leader is the artist Anar Aubakir. Pavlodar was the first city where «Art Sapar» exhibition took place and from that city the travel through the country was started. In the next years the exhibition visited Semey, Aktobe, Atyrau, Kostanay, Karaganda, Temirtau, Kokshetau, Petropavlovsk, Ust-Kamenogorsk and Aktau.
The master classes for the students of the Children’s art school – UNESCO club took place before opening of the exhibition: painting of Anar Aubakir and sculpture of Daniyar Sarbasov.
During the master class Daniyar Sarbasov said: "It is a great honour for me to hold the master class, and at the same time, it is a responsibility. I want to share with my skill, to show my works which I have created this year. I want my works to be some kind of sample, an example for young generation and, perhaps, inspiration for the future sculptors.
Unfortunately, in Kazakhstan there aren't enough sculptors, and it is even less a creative one. First of all, it is necessary a special creative inspiration. If a master has no inspiration, the muse, there is no interest in the work. Besides, making of sculptures demands a lot of time and finance. If you want to create one work it is necessary to make a form of clay, process it with wax, cast it of bronze, burnish and protonate".
In her speech of welcome the deputy director of Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Aktaeva noted:
"Since 2008 the museum of Library has been realizing «Wings of hope» project to support creative youth successfully. Thanks to the project many young talents managed to be famous. A main goal of the project is to show the best achievements of young artists, sculptors, masters of arts and crafts of our republic and foreign countries, acquaintance of the citizens and guests of the capital with the new names. In our museum took place the first personal exhibitions of young artists Anar Aubakir, Renat Elubayev, Beybit Asemkul, the sculptor Zhanna Nugerbek. Recently there took place the exhibition of the young talented artist Guldana Zhurkabayeva. «Art Sapar I/Astana» exhibition is a logical continuation of «Wings of hope» project.
Anar Aubakir said about development of «Art Sapar» project and its prospects: ""Art Sapar" is very interesting project because all authors of the project work in different genres and technicians, have their original creative equipment. In every city the exposition is changed, supplemented with the new works. Thus, the project not only makes the trip through the cities, but reflects creative life and successes of the authors. More than 70 works are presented at the exhibition. It is the first exhibition within the project in Astana. Personally for me it is a new stage in creative activity and a report exhibition over the last 5 years".
Among the authors of the project the painting and graphics are presented by: Anar Aubakir, Galiya Toremuratova, Almas Nurgozhayev, Ali Zakir, Kadyr Maksutkan, Moldir Sagyndykova; sculpture: Talgat Zhumagulov, Bagdat Sarsenbiyev, Zhanna Nugerbek, Daniyar Sarbasov; arts and crafts: Natalia Bazhenova, Bauyrzhan Doszhanov, Gulmaral Tatibayeva. Every author has the own vision of the world which is expressed individually, however all young creators are united by active living position, aspiration to creation of fine. Many of them derive inspiration from cultural sources of Kazakhstan’s history which is rich with traditions and art images.
It is very symbolical that works of young talented artists will be presented in the first warm days of spring on the eve of Nauryz.
«Art Sapar» exhibition will last till March 29, 2017.

On February 28, 2017 the contemporary of the Leader of the Nation N.A. Nazarbayev, a inhabitant of the Almaty region of the village Ushkonyr – Baubekova Alfiya Bagabievna visited the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the Leader of the Nation. During the visit she was acquainted with the museum expositions and shared memories about school and youth years of N.A. Nazarbayev. She talked about the childhood of the Head of State held in the Ushkonyr tract, Nursultan Abishevich was one of the first in the class joined to the pioneers and in the ranks of the "Young Naturalists" among the most distinguished young people received the medal of the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition in Moscow in 1956. Alfia Bagabievna remembered N.A. Nazarbayeva's parents – cheerful disposition and creative skills of Alzhan apay, and also with special trepidation and excitement told about the hardworking and modest Abish Ata.
According to her story, during the war years many deported migrants of different nationalities arrived in the village of Chemolgan. Not of their choosing Caucasian ethnic groups bereft of homes and homeland settled in this village. The inhabitants of Chemolgan, including the Nazarbayev family, demonstrated charity and humanity in relation to the deported. Abish Nazarbayev built houses for immigrants, together with local residents. The letter of the representative of the Balkarian nationality Sharafutdin Mullaev, entitled "Kindness isn’t forgotten" was confirmation to what Alfiya apay said. Hero of Socialist Labor, citizen of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic Sharafutdin Mullaev in his letter to the Head of State writes: «I wouldn’t want to see a single people of those losses, sufferings and humiliations that fell a lot of the balkar people, during the years of stalinist repression and lawlessness. During the war years, when the country of the Soviets was fighting against with the german-fascist invaders, my people were evicted to Central Asia and Kazakhstan overnight. A lot of old people and children died on the way, even more – from climate change, hunger – in places of resettlement. Our happiness, that we and several of our families were settled in Chemolgan of Kaskelen district of Alma-Ata region. We will never forget, the charity and humanity showed to us the inhabitants of this village. Many of us would have starved to death if it weren’t such people as Abish Nazarbayev. Abish Nazarbayev worked on the collective farm as a foreman, head of the farm all those 13 years that lived in the village of Chemolgan. He helped us as much as he could, treated us like a close people. In addition, he was a talented person, in a short time he learned the balkar language. Working under his leadership, we have always performed job assignments in good faith, trying in every possible way to repay for kindness.
On behalf of the balkars who lived during the resettlement in the Kaskelen district I warmly welcome and congratulate President Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev on his election to high government posts. Sharafutdin Yakubovich Mullaev. Nalchik. August, 1990.».

I devote the works to my native village where I was born, took the first steps, for the first time got in my hand a pencil. I became an artist thanks to my first teacher and I devote my works to him.
Most of our Kazakhstan citizens – known or unknown, were born in the village. It is my message: remember that place where you were born and as far as possible take care of your small homeland. It is a purpose of my exhibition, its main subject».

The exhibition is organized in the limits of the «Wings of hope» project to support creative youth.
In 2009 in the Museum of the First President of Kazakhstan within the regional exhibition project «Kazakhstan directed to the future» was organized «Cradle of national cultures» exhibition from the museum funds of the Kostanay region. The sculptors, artists and masters of decorative-applied art of the Kostanay region presented their works. Among them was also Guldana Zhurkabayeva. Guldana's works were attracted, diversified and many-sided. From that time the artist has been making about 150 creative works, she is known in foreign countries.
Guldana Zhurkabaeva was born on January 25, 1979 in the village Zhangeldy, of the Kustanay region. She graduated from the Torgay humanitarian college, then, in 2003, she graduated from the Kostanay humanitarian institute, and had specialty of designer. Guldana is a member of the Union of Artists of Astana, laureate of «Shabyt» premium of Kostanay Patrons Club. Her works participated in many republican and foreign exhibitions. On December 16, 2016 the artist won the first place in the International festival and arts competition which took place in the Republic of San Marino.
The deputy director of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aktayeva Kulyaisha Kabdulovna in his speech noted: «Creative handwriting of Guldana Zhurkabaeva formed in a constant search of its author's credo. Appeal to the symbolic varieties of the nomads of the Great Steppe makes it possible to combine the seemingly incompatible things: paint, skin, skin».
In her speech Guldana noted: «Exhibition «Way to yourself» differs from other my exhibitions, because there are many oil paintings. For the first time I decided to disclose all variety of internal philosophy on canvases as it allows, and to draw all palette of my feelings. Every work is a history about myself, search of a truth which is absent. The way to life is more important, than an ultimate goal. The manifestation of thoughts for creation, infinity of life, ephemerality of feelings in the human relations - all these thoughts were embodied in my works, turning into the author's monologue.
The vision of the outside world not as others (disease of eyes) gives me the chance to look around absolutely newly. When focus and color show an image not standardly, they add uniqueness to works. My handicap (difficult diagnosis) for me is my advantage long ago».
At the exhibition «Way to yourself» will be presented more than 40 works made of leather and painted with acrylic colouring. The subjects of Totemizm and Shamanism are close and disturbing for many contemporaries. The artist makes sense of ancient symbols in her own way, and uses them in her works extensively. The works on the leathers and canvases «Scythian motives», «Steppe melody», «Sounds from the past», «Zodiac cycle» and many others are made by the author under impression of ancient drawings of mankind. Besides leather and acryle, the master widely uses various decorative elements. Among them are amber, coins, natural stones, beads, buttons, feathers, bones of animals.
The technique of the first works of the artist belongs to decorative-applied art. Silhouettes and symbols, proportions and plots of the ancient petroglyphs shout to one another with the natural, «wild» material. There are widely used fragments of leathers of various animals. Their raw fur, being a part of the general composition, shows an image of ancient messages.
Guldana Zhurkabayeva is an original artist. She is opening all new sides of her wide and unique talent for many years of her creativity. She is persistent in the achievement of goals, hard-working, honest. In the works of the master are surprising number of associations between past and present.
«Way to yourself» exhibition will be till February 20, 2017
